I read an Amish book, my first ever! And it was great!

Victory for me!

I finished my paper at like 8:20 am just in time to take a shower and go to class! I am actually proud of myself for finishing it! I thought I could have just slacked off and not did it but I did and I am happy!

I will admit that it probably isn't the best paper I've ever written, but I did it and I am done! No more Avrich book for me!

I am so tired. It is 4:55 am and I have approx 4 of my 6 pages done! Hooray! I am going to take a nap but I'll wake up in a bit to finish!

Procrastination....

Is a real pain.

I have a 6 page paper due on this book called Russian Rebels tomorrow. I am getting frustrated with myself, because I just don't know what to write. And this is after I talked to the professor about it. I am so just wanting to rip out my hair and scream a bit... It is just a paper, but this is the first semester I have really tried to get good grades, and now I remember why I never did before...Because it stresses me out! AAAAAAAUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!

Dumbledore's Sexual Orientation

I am humored by J.K. Rowlings recent announcement of Dumbledore's homosexuality. Why ? Because some of the reactions people have to this information. But first, my reaction: (yes it is a list)


He's a fictional character. Even if he was real, he would've been dead for over 10 years. So, it's really unneccesary information.

It was an effective means to draw attention back to Harry Potter in a post Deathly Hallows world.

His attraction to Grindlewald bothers me. Not so much his homosexuality. It's like Harry having a thing for Voldemort... It's squicky cuz he's EEEEEEEEEEEVIL! (Although, if Voldemort wore his suit from Movie 5 more often...;) )

It kills all of the McGonagoll/Dumbledore shippers dreams.

By creating Dumbledore, a highly respected character, from one of the largest franchises in recent history as a homosexual, J.K. Rowling has gone a long way towards making homosexuality more accepted.

It's a series of books, that while some may not think are for kids, are marketed towards kids... Sexuality shouldn't play that large of a role in it. <- My reaction to the above comment.

Why another Blog....

I want a blog that is not identified with myspace.

I should really be working on a paper for my Russian History class and studying for my 20th Century Europe midterm, but I am procrastinating.

I like to make lists, and a blog is a good place to do that.

Have I ever mentioned that blog is a fun word?

I do actually want a place to record my thoughts, I forget them so quickly sometimes.
