better day

Today was a much better day.

I worked today and carried parcels on a couple of routes, I then ran out of time before I needed to be back with the truck I was using. So I took the rest out in my car. This was an adventure. My car is a lot lower than a mail truck so I was slightly afraid of it making it through some of the streets I needed to deliver to. But we made it back in one piece, just a lot dirtier than we started out.

After I was done delivering I got to hang out with one of my friends and we did a ridiculous amount of laughing. I needed the laughs, and it was good for the soul. After that I made a nice cup of coffee and stayed at work until the regular carrier for the route I tend to carry got done. After he was done, I followed him to see where this one driveway for a house is. He had tried to explain it to me, but that didn't help and I got lost. But now I know where it is.

Yesterday I made some unwise dietary decisions (incredibly stupid ones if we are being honest) And my morning blood sugar reflected that (but actually was less than I was expecting), but I am back on track and my evening reading was a new low. My friend yelled at me for being stupid and she has a point. I need to have better self control and not give in to stress eating. It's nice to have someone get crazy at me when I screw up.

I have received Starbucks cards from both of the people whose routes I regularly carry. It is nice of them to share with me. :)

I did get a gift for my last person and got it shipped out this morning.
