Tow Trucks and Birthday Cake

Work: Well, today was kind of sucktacular. I got stuck in someone's driveway and had to have a tow truck come rescue me, this endeavor put me almost 2 hours behind schedule and made me feel stupid too, but on the bright side, I did not have a panic attack over the whole situation. My supervisor came out to try to help me, but I don't do anything by halves and I was pretty strongly stuck, so I had to wait for the tow truck. We also had a carrier have to leave suddenly so I ended up splitting a route with a couple of other carriers, and I still had parcels to deliver, but thankfully I am home now.

Cool Things I saw today: A field full of chickens & A transformer blowing up (it was like lightning and fireworks combined)

Dinner: I did go out with my friend for her birthday, and we ended up being joined by both my beloved and another coworker. It was a random gathering, but I think it was fun. I had fun anyhow. I may have also eaten about 2 or 3 zucchinis at dinner. I LOVE them so. I also had a lot of water chestnuts and other yummy bits.

Food:
Breakfast: Banana Muffin (22) Chicken Cordon Bleu (10)
Snack: Candy bar (17)
Lunch: Chicken Soup (26) Small slice of birthday cake (?)
Dinner: Mongolian BBQ (? all from veggies and some pineapple I threw in)
Dessert: Banana Muffin (22)- I am trying to get rid of them.

In spite of both the candy bar and the piece of cake, my evening blood sugar level was okay. I was kind of shocked. I did it and said "OMG!" and I may have startled Eric, because he was like is it bad?! I was honestly shocked it was as low as it was. Between the stressful day and the sweets, I was expecting it to be a lot higher. But I am glad it wasn't! I am trying to learn how to have a good balance of healthy and normality, and some days I mess up big time, and other days I am so strict that I make myself miserable. Learning this balance is important, but does take time.
