Experiments, nice surprises, and randomosity

Food:
Breakfast: Mini bagel with cream cheese and a banana nut muffin. (44 carbs)
Lunch: Taco Salad (no clue how many carbs, but they were all from veggies and dairy)
Dinner: Taco Bell (3 tacos and diet baja blast (36 carbs)
I tried to assuage the carb cravings by having the max number I am allowed in the morning, but having less throughout the day. I was way less snacky through the day, so it may have been a success. I shall see how it goes tomorrow.

My afternoon blood sugar reading was the best number I have seen yet, so I will take that as a good sign. If it looks like this is a fluke or something, I will reevaluate and change as needed. I started adding the second of my four pills today, and will take two a day for the next week. This is the dosage that caused me difficulties before, so I am a little bit nervous about adding the second pill, but the different formula is supposed to be easier on me, so we shall see how it goes. There is still a plan c if that doesn't work, but I know that my doctor says this drug is the best plan and we'd like to stick with it if we can. If not, he'll keep me at the minimum dose of the stuff I am taking (my body seems okay with the low dosage) and add a second drug to complement it. But, like I said, we'll see how this goes. I am almost out of test strips, but should have enough to last me until payday. I can't believe how much those stupid things cost! It seriously might be cheaper for me to get the whole system that CVS has than a single vial of strips for my currant machine, I will have to stop by tomorrow and compare prices.

I got a new app on my phone to track my blood sugar readings and carbs. It is kinda fun and I might pay for the full version if I end up using it daily.

Work: went pretty okay today. I did parcels in the morning, then worked on casing, but not for very long because there were some misthrown parcels from the morning, so as soon as there was an available truck, I was shipped out to deliver them. After that I went to help a coworker finish delivering his mail. Not too stressful, and yet I still got a pretty good amount of hours. One awesome thing that happened is that someone left the people carrying parcels this morning a chocolatey treat. :) I have no clue who did it, but it is appreciated. I am looking forward to enjoying my chocolate.

Humanity: Some people today (this whole week really) have been total butt monkeys. I don't understand why some people relish making other people miserable. I have several friends who are just being bombarded with negativity, and it sucks. Sometimes I just wonder about what makes some people work the way they do. I am glad that I don't have to put up with that nonsense, from anyone, because I just can't at this point. I have no problem telling people when they are being out of line and I will if the negativity turns toward me. (rant over)

I got my tree up and put up some lights and garland in my house. I am working on the rest of my decorations over the next few days, but have plans to go out with my friend tomorrow for her birthday. We are going to the yummy Mongolian BBQ place I went to yesterday. It isn't super nice, but it is yummy and it will be nice to get to hang out with my friend away from work.
