Work was pretty average. Did parcels then had a long lunch break and went back to case for a few hours. I was wearing what my doctor calls the 'torture shoes' though and my feet are killing me. But thankfully I don't think I did any major damage. Will have to wear the chucks tomorrow, hopefully it isn't as wet out.
On my long lunch I went to Rite Aid to see how much they were charging for blood sugar test strips and I lucked out they had vials of 25 for only 35 bucks. But they only had one left. I did pick up that vial but had to go get more strips this evening when I got to Walmart to pick up my antidepressant refill. I was at the pharmacy for 2 freaking hours. I did get some needed groceries while I was waiting, and I got a few presents and a wreath for my door. The pharmacist was able to legally modify my prescription to save me a hundred bucks. He overheard his tech telling me to call my doctor to get the prescription changed from tablets to caplets to save a hundred bucks. I was all set to wait and call on Monday morning, but he walked over and said that they could fill it with caplets without checking with the doctor first, if I was taking the full pill and not half. Which I am. (you can't cut caplets in half) So that was good.
I had a randomly interesting evening while I was waiting too, and I am both troubled and hopeful about the situation, but it isn't my story to tell. But send up prayers and good thoughts for my loved ones please, one of them has a hurdle to overcome. I believe wholeheartedly that they can and will be able to get this sorted because they are strong and because I love them.
Food:
Breakfast: banana muffin (22) broccoli chicken (14)
snack: baby carrots (3ish)
Lunch: McDonald's (81 carbs :/) I had fries, yes even though I know better. But my sugar was still okay, so not beating myself up.
Snack: clementine (9)
Dinner: Taco Bell (36) After my long wait at the pharmacy I had no patience for waiting any longer for dinner, I picked up dinner on the way home, tested my blood sugar, and inhaled my food.
Tomorrow I have to carry the route that always kicks my butt, although I am going to run the parcels while someone else cases it, so hopefully I can get it delivered quicker than usual.
And on all of these notes, I am heading to bed.
