A new leaf

Well, therapy went really well today. I think we got through a lot, and before I knew it the hour was over.

Went to Target and found some fun things to buy. Got some soy eggnog, because it has way fewer carbs and I can make it work. Also discovered that Lindt truffle balls have 5 carbs. This is an amazing discovery for when the cravings hit.

I conducted an experiment with my food intake today and it didn't work out. I am considering this day a wash and will start fresh tomorrow.

Tomorrow is going to be a fresh start for a handful of things. It is a new day and it is going to be a new me too.

I have had an incredibly rough last few days and today I gained insight and tools to help me work through the rough days to come.

My goals for the week are to be super awesome with my food intake, not only watching my carbs, but attempting to get lots of veggies and lean protein in as well as choosing water over diet soda as often as possible. to attempt to get in at least 3 workouts in a week, and to work on my self care, both mental and physical. With my schedule being both crazy and variable, this may be harder than one would like, but I need to make taking care of myself a priority.

I am working on expressing gratitude during this season of Thanksgiving. So five things I am grateful for:
1. My health (more so this year than any other year, I have come to appreciate my health. It isn't perfect, but I am working on it)
2. The many people who have reached out to provide support to me during this season of change. Friends and family both, as well as professionals and others.
3. My job. It is hard work and makes me tired, but it is a public service job, which I love, and it pays the bills.
4. Criminal Minds. I really enjoy this show. It requires thinking and yet I have grown to love the characters, so watching it is like hanging out with friends.
5. That cheese is not high in carbs.
