Well, after I posted my blog last night, the evening got interesting. One of my favorite people got in a car accident, and although he is fine, his car, not so much. And after waiting hours for a tow truck I volunteered to provide transportation so he wouldn't have to wait for it. So I picked him up, took him to get some dinner (so I ended up eating teriyaki chicken instead of either of the other options) and dropped him off at his house. I then headed home because Saturdays are my long days and I need my rest.
This morning, I resumed taking my blood sugar readings, and while not fabulous, it was better than the last one I had while sick. I did my blood pressure too, and not too shabby, although I have seen better numbers.
Today I ate:
Pizza muffins and hot cocoa for breakfast (39ish)
Chicken Kiev and peas for lunch (29ish)
and
Taco Bell for dinner (36)
but I also had two licorice vines and thats another 7
I had a clementine for my break. I also consumed most of a box of grape tic tacs throughout the day.
On top of all the excitement last night, I found out that one of my favorite coworkers is being transferred (yes, my finger stabbing friend :( ) because she got converted to being a regular carrier. This would have also happened to me if I had not changed jobs when I did. We discussed how we are going to have to actually make an effort to see each other now.
I have received a handful of invitations from several lovely people for Thanksgiving, but am planning on visiting with another friend/coworker and her mom. I really enjoy her company and from what I have met of her mom I think it will be two things: low-key and enjoyable. Just what I need for a day of relaxation.
Work today was rough. I started with a very full truck, and while on my way to my first delivery, the back hatch flew up and all of my parcels spilled into the street. I picked them all up, threw them back in the truck and retraced my route to make sure I hadn't lost any more somewhere. I told my supervisor what happened and he drove the same path I took to double check. I may have lost one in the shuffle, but thankfully it was a bundle of flat rate boxes and those are easily replaceable. I know I had them set to deliver to someone, but when I got to their house I couldn't find them anywhere.
This completely messed up my organization system though which slowed me down hardcore. I ended up needing help and having to do a bunch of parcels at the end. Hopefully this never happens again, because it totally sucked.
When I finally got home, I took my sugar again (2x a day) and it was a beautiful number! Hooray! Hopefully I can keep these types of numbers up for the next 5-6 weeks. :)
Tomorrow is amazon day and I am super ready for bed. Goodnight y'all!
