Shortly before 5pm this evening I got a call from my doctors office. I wasn't expecting a call, so I was confused. It was my favorite of the doctor's assistants. I adore her. She told me that they had gotten the results from my urinalysis. This also confused me because I had gotten an email about it on Wednesday from my doctor, telling me it had strong signs of a kidney stone, and that my last one showed some proteins (this is bad, but we are taking steps to remedy the situation) So I was confused as to why I was getting more results.
"Hi Stacey, this is (name of awesome nurse) from (name of awesome doctor)'s office. We got the results from your Urinalysis in and it shows that you have e. coli."
"How did that happen?" I reply
"Well, there are a few ways it could happen, but doctor wanted to get you started on some antibiotics before the weekend."
"Can I take that extra bottle I have left from the last time?"
"No, unfortunately that won't work on this"
"Okay"
"Walmart?"
"Yes, please"
"Let us know if you develop a fever, worsening back pain or start vomiting."
"Will do."
And thus I headed up to Walmart for the billionth time this week. Thankfully it only cost 4 bucks and doesn't interfere with anything else I am on.
It also explains why my blood sugar numbers aren't looking as pretty as I would like. I am eating how I am supposed to, although yes, I need more veggies, and water, but those aren't going to have the effect on my blood sugar that other things do. It also explains why I feel so bleh physically. My body is fighting off a not so fun infection, that I honestly didn't know was happening. Thorough doctors mean things get fixed. And with an early morning tomorrow, I am heading to bed soon to get as much rest as I can.

Yay for Doctors & assistants who are *totally* on top of things! :D Even if it's not always stuff you want to hear.
Agreed a hundred percent. I totally lucked out on this doctor and his amazing assistant.
